The Real Story of Anneliese Michel, the Girl Portrayed in "The Exorcism of Emily Rose"

After watching "The Exorcism of Emily Rose" on DVD a couple of years back, I had a lot of questions about Anneliese Michel, the real girl who was portrayed in the movie. A couple of different movie sites I've found have accounts of what they say is the real story of the exorcism: one is moviesonline.com, the other is chasingthefrog.com.

I'm not sure if one is more accurate than the other, but you can check them both out and compare notes. You can also check the Wikipedia entry on the film, which may or may not be accurate, but Wikipedia entries usually have references at the end so you can check the original sources.

(On a related note, one of my favorite actresses, Laura Linney, plays the lawyer Erin Bruner in "The Exorcism of Emily Rose"; I mentioned her earlier today in a post about Armistead Maupin's "Tales of the City.")
