Sarah Palin Rap on SNL with Amy Poehler - VIDEO

Sarah Palin made her long-anticipated appearance on SNL last night, and the highlight was Amy Poehler doing a Sarah Palin rap... featuring dancers dressed as her husband Todd, a couple of native Alaskans (formerly called Eskimos), and even a moose... or what is a caribou?

George Carlin Videos from YouTube

George Carlin is, sadly, no longer with us, but his works will keep us laughing (and thinking) for a long time to come. Here's a collection of five George Carlin videos from YouTube. They don't include the famous "7 Words You Can't Say on Television," but I think Mashable has a link to that one on this page.

The five videos on this page are "Voting," "Ten Commandments," "Airline Announcements," "Saving the Planet," and "Religion is Bullsh*t."

Rest in peace, George.

Michael Myers in "The Love Guru" - Movie Trailer

I've always been a fan of Michael Myers, so I was glad to see that the trailer is out for his new movie, "The Love Guru." Myers stars as an Indian guru (naturally) who counsels a hockey player to reunite with his wife, it seems. It's hard to tell from the trailer how good the movie will be, but I've liked Myers in everything from "So I Married an Axe Murderer" to "Wayne's World" and his SNL work, so I'll probably see it.

"The Love Guru" also stars the lovely Jessica Alba, and features Justin Timberlake (huh?) and Ben Kingsley... the man who played the title character in "Ghandi" many years ago. What's not to like? (Well, a couple of stars do not a good movie make, but I'll give Myers the benefit of the doubt.)

I just wish Myers had gotten his movie of "Sprockets" made. His Dieter character always made me laugh out loud when "Sprockets" was on SNL, with his "Germany's Most Disturbing Home Videos," his oddly spastic dancing, and his "Would you like to touch my monkey?" schtick.

Comedian Lisa Landry - Video Clips, Official Web Site, MySpace Page

Comedian Lisa Landry (official Web site) is a Cajun from Louisiana, but now she lives in New York City. She was originally Catholic, but converted to Judaism. As you can imagine, all this gives her plenty of material to turn into stories and jokes: she has not one but two religions to make fun of, and she can riff on the South as well as NYC.

Landry was the star of her own comedy special in 2007, imaginatively titled, "Comedy Central Presents Lisa Landry." She's made guest appearances on various TV shows, and has also done voiceovers for commercials. She's currently performing a number of gigs at New York's Gotham Comedy Club, Comedy Cellar, and other clubs, and then is hitting the road to do shows in Dayton, Ohio and Austin, Texas.

You can also check out Lisa Landry's MySpace page here, and view video clips of her at her page at Comedy Central.
