2012 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show on CBS - Tonight! Oddball Costumes Galore...

If you like beautiful young women dressed in skimpy underwear with bizarre accessories, well, tonight's your night: the 2012 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show will be aired on CBS here in the U.S. of A.

Victoria's Secret Fashion Show model
"I look so HOT. And so silly. At the same time."

The actual show took place several weeks ago, and photos of the outfits were shown in many news outlets and online (such as the New York Daily News). Like those hoity-toity fashion shows in Paris, Milan, and New York, the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show features a bevy of very attractive and ridiculously in-shape (and/or anorexic-looking) women wearing absurd outfits that no ordinary working girl would wear, or could possibly afford.

A big theme at this year's Victoria's Secret show is skimpy undergarments with butterfly-type wings, flower-covered appendages, and other stuff attached to the back. Huh? It doesn't seem all that attractive in the first place, to say nothing of being impractical. Who wants to get poked in the eye by a giant sequined insect wing when trying to get frisky with one's mate?

Regardless, the 2012 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show will have boffo TV ratings and will spark millions of tweets and Facebook posts, because it seems both men and women watch this show closely each year: women because they love putting these type of garments on, and men because they love, well, taking them off. Turn your TV or other device to CBS at 10 p.m. Eastern and watch a thousand butterflies bloom, or fly, or strut, or whatever.

Tomorrow's "iCarly" to Feature Animated Carly, Sam, Freddie

iCarly animated characters
The "iCarly" gang gets animated Saturday night.

The "iCarly" gang gets animated in the Nov. 10th episode, "iBust a Thief." The episode features a short cartoon called "Hungry Sam," in which the character's appetite gets the best of her in a bizarrely unexpected way.

In the episode, Sam's laptop gets stolen, and she leaves no stone (or anything else) unturned until she finds out who took it. It's Sam at her obsessive, tunnel-visioned best (or worst, rather).

You'll find a preview of tomorrow night's "iCarly" here.

"iBust a Thief" premieres Nov. 10th at 8 p.m. Eastern time on Nickelodeon.

Jon & Kate Plus 8 - They're Baaaack - Tonight!

The dysfunctional family known as Jon & Kate Plus 8 returns to TV tonight, and viewers will no doubt be tuning in in droves to find out what's happened since the show went of the air more than a month ago, with the couple announcing that they are separating.

Jon has been spotted with various young women, including the daughter of the surgeon who performed his wife's tummy tuck. Is this guy nuts?

And the NY Daily News reports that Kate has been seen packing camping equipment into her SUV. Is she taking the kids camping, or planning to roast Jon over an open fire?

The article also includes the preview of tonight's episode (above), which shows Kate setting up a tent in her back yard, as preparation for the camping trip, apparently.

Fox Renews Eliza Dushku's "Dollhouse"

Fox TV's popular but ratings-challenged drama "Dollhouse" has been picked up for a second season, James Hibberd of THR.com is reporting. This is a victory for the many loyal fans of the show, who have been contacting Fox and urging it to renew the Eliza Dushku vehicle.

Hibberd terms the Dollhouse renewal decision "stunning" because the show's ratings are low. But he notes that DVR and online streaming numbers for the Eliza Dushku vehicle are good. And people involved in Dollhouse have been encouraging fans to contact Fox, such as Dushku herself on her Twitter account, twitter.com/ElizaPatricia.

Hibberd says the official announcement of the Dollhouse renewal will be made at the network's upfront presentation on Monday.

Say It Ain't So, Bruthah! Henry Ian Cusick from "Lost" Sued for Sexual Harassment

Maybe all that time-travel has finally taken its toll on Desmond. Henry Ian Cusick, the actor who plays Desmond Hume on the hit TV show "Lost," has been sued for sexual harassment by a former ABC employee.

Chelsea Stone, a former employee of ABC Entertainment, has sued Cusick for harassment and sexual battery, accusing the Scottish actor of a variety of offenses, from groping her to making offensive noises and gestures. (View the lawsuit against Henry Ian Cusick.) The charges date back to on-set incidents in October 2007.

It is claimed that Cusick, who first became known on "Lost" for pushing a button every 108 minutes to save the world, "'placed his hand on her buttocks' and then caressed her back 'while making moaning sounds.' He then put his face in her cleavage and wagged his head back and forth."

Is this true, or just a disgruntled employee making false accusations? We'll have to wait and see... if we can keep Desmond from further time traveling!

Charles Widmore from "Lost" to Bail Out U.S.?

It's clear the U.S. economy is deep in the crapper, and with hundreds of billions of dollars not solving the problem, it's clear that only one person can come to the rescue: Charles Widmore.

Charles who, you say? Charles Widmore is the mysterious, obscenely rich mogul who's pulling a lot of the creepy strings in ABC's "Lost." Sure, he sponsors round-the-world sailing races and buys the very priciest single-malt Scotch, but that's run-of-the-mill billionaire stuff.

No, Charles Widmore can buy rare documents from a 19th-century slave ship, and what's more, carry out a massive diversionary campaign to find his true treasure: that mysterious South Pacific island that is home to the afore-mentioned slave ship, random polar bears, Others, Other Others, and a large quantity of Dharma Initiative Ranch Dressing. And, of course, the island can travel through time and space (which must wreck havoc with the ranch dressing's expiration date).

You see, Charles Widmore so badly wants the rest of the world to believe that Oceanic 815 was lost at the bottom of the ocean that he staged an elaborate fake crash scene on the bottom of the ocean. This is no mean feat; it involved buying a jetliner, filling it full of corpses (apparently these can be bought on the black market), and then having it placed at the bottom of the sea.

What price might Charles Widmore exact for agreeing to bail out the U.S. Treasury? Well, maybe the U.S. agreeing to give his hated son-in-law, Desmond, a one-way trip to the International Space Station. Or maybe a few of the U.S. Virgin Islands so that he can experiment with trying to send them through time and space? I hear St. John is nice this time of year (polar bears not included).

So how about it, Charles? You bail out our economy and we'll give you a Desmond Hume space shot and a few sunny islands? Tell you what, we'll throw in some of that specially aged Dharma Initiative Beer, too...

Behind the Scenes of the Parody "This Ain't Gilligan's Island"

If there was any '60s TV show that could use a bawdy send-up, it's "Gilligan's Island." Entertainment Tonight has a video that takes us behind the scenes of a new adult movie called "This Ain't Gilligan's Island," a reinvention of the series about a boatload of tourists and crew shipwrecked on an island.

ET says the naughty Gilligan's Island tale picks up with the castaways living on the island and being discovered by an adult film crew that lands on the island. The video features the women who play the sexy female castaways of the S.S. Minnow, Ginger and Mary Ann. Sounds like a hoot. ET says it will be showing sneak previews of "This Ain't Gilligan's Island" on its TV show, so be sure to watch for that.

The American Vampire League - Fighting for Vampire Rights!

If gray-eyed left-handed lacto-ovo people can fight for their rights, then why not our life-challenged cousins? It's time to let the people of the night emerge from those musty old coffins and shake off those dusty old stereotypes that have been around for centuries.

The American Vampire League seeks to fight for the "human rights of vampires" and let them "emerge from the dark" (OK, these may sound better in print than in practice, since vampires aren't technically human, if you want to get all scientific about it. And if they emerged from the dark they might melt or something. But you get the idea.)

If you don't get the idea, then check out the American Vampire League Web site. It's brought to you by the good folks at HBO, who as part of the Time Warner media conglomerate know a thing or two about good old corporate bloodsucking! But I digress...

The American Vampire League just happens to be affiliated with a new TV program by the aforementioned HBO, called True Blood. It's named after Tru Blood, a new synthetic blood substitute that will eliminate the need for vampires to suck blood from human creatures. The tagline for Tru Blood is, "All of the flavor, none of the bite." Sounds like a win-win to me. (You can learn more about the beverage at the Tru Blood Web site.)

How does Tru Blood taste? I haven't sampled it, but it can't be any worse than Red Bull...

Fox Questions Obama's "Terrorist Fist Jab" - Is Howie Mandel a Jihadist?

UPDATE: E.D. Hill on June 10th apologized for the characterization of the fist pound as a "terrorist fist jab," according to TV Newser. It's also been reported that on the same day Fox News announced that E.D. Hill's show "America's Pulse" had been canceled, but she is apparently going to be reassigned somewhere within the company.

A Fox News Channel reporter did a segment last week on Barack and Michelle Obama's fist bump, or pound, by saying, "A fist bump? A pound? A terrorist fist jab? The gesture everyone seems to interpret differently."

Huh? Since when is the fist pound, a staple of hip-hop greetings and baseball players, among many other people, a "terrorist fist jab"? The reporter, E. D. Hill, did not explain her remark, or repeat it again during her interview with a "body language expert," who also made no reference to the gesture as being anything but a greeting.

But if this fist pound is some kind of sinister greeting, what does that mean... hey, Howie Mandel the "terrorist fist jab" many times in each episode of "Deal of No Deal"!

Should Mandel be declared an enemy combatant? What about the mysterious "Banker"... is he some kind of jihadi financier? And if Howie gets sent to Gitmo, do all the models with the briefcases have to go, too?

I'm sure Fox will sort all this out for us... thank God they're on the case and keeping us safe from dangerous game-show hosts!

"Lily and Marshall Sell Their Stuff" - Charity Auction for TV Memorabilia

Fans of the TV show How I Met Your Mother will want to check out a Web site with a rather long name, www.lilyandmarshallselltheirstuff.com. In the May 12th episode the show featured the two characters Lily and Marshall facing financial trouble and, yoiu guessed it, setting up a Web site to sell their stuff.

The twist is that the "Lily and Marshall Sell Their Stuff" Web site is a real site, selling real stuff: props and costumes associated with the characters. As TV Squad notes, the proceeds of the auction will go to the Children's Hospital of Los Angeles. The "Lily and Marshall Sell Their Stuff" Web site will be up for two weeks.

Hinckley, Ohio Welcomes Annual Return of Buzzards

We've all heard of the annual return of swallows to Capistrano, California, but there's a town called Hinckley, Ohio that takes pride in its own bid homecoming... but the birds are buzzards.

CBS Sunday Morning did a piece today on Hinckley, Ohio, where buzzards return to every year on the same day... March 15th. (That day is known as the Ides of March... maybe Julius Cesar knew something about buzzards?)

Anyway, you can learn more about Hinckley, Ohio at About.com's Cleveland site. And you can view the piece that aired on Sunday Morning here.

Spitzer Spoofed on SNL

I thought the whole Spitzer "moral failing" speech was enough of a joke, but Saturday Night Live's opening last night made it even funnier. It's a good thing I went to the bathroom before watching this, because some parts of it had me laughing hysterically.

Spitzer is shown as a seedy lawyer "specializing in lurid and embarrassing sex cases." His offer to defend clients involved in certain sexual acts made "denial of reach-around" one of the most searched-for terms on the Internet late last night.

Watch and enjoy.

(NOTE: The video seems to be missing sometimes when the page loads; if so, you can watch it at NBC's Web site, here.)

“Dog the Bounty Hunter” to Howl Again on TV

After being taken off the air for using a racial slur in a conversation with his son, Dog the Bounty Hunter will be returning to a TV near you.

Dog, whose real name is Duane Chapman, used the "n" word in a conversation with one of his sons about the son's girlfriend, who is black. The conversation was videotaped and the son was supposedly paid $15,000 to hand it over to a tabloid magazine.

Dog the Bounty Hunter was pulled off TV by the show's network, A&E. The network says the show will begin production, but it didn't say when the new episodes would begin airing.

"Since the premise of 'Dog the Bounty Hunter' is about second chances - we have decided to give him one," an A&E spokesman said.

Funny, I thought the show was about a 50-something guy with long blonde hair in black leather duds running around Hawaii and kicking people’s butts while handheld cameras capture all the action and make the viewer dizzy…

New Knight Rider: KITT and Kitsch

Knight Rider was a cheesy 1980s TV show about a high-tech, computerized crime-fighting car that would sometimes sass its owner... that's right, it was a talking car called KITT. Well, NBC has pulled KITT out of the junkyard and is airing a new Knight Rider movie on Sunday night, with the possibility of a series to follow. Are the studios really that desperate for show ideas? Maybe they should have kept KITT in the junkyard with Herbie.

The driver of the original KITT was Michael Knight, played by king of kitsch David Hasselhoff. "The Hoff," of course, later went on to become a legend of cheesy TV with "Baywatch," and recently he was seen in a YouTube video, eating a cheeseburger while lying drunk and shirtless on his floor while his daughters begged him to sober up. But I digress...

The new Knight Rider airs at 9 p.m. Eastern on Sunday, and of course this is a new KITT for the 21st century, with all kinds of new gadgetry, including shape-shifting capabilities. I bet it even has side airbags and cup holders. And get this: the new KITT is a Ford! C'mon, how believable is that?

Is Knight Rider really an idea that needed to be revived for the new millennium? The reviews have said that "The Hoff" himself even has a cameo role, reprising his role as Michael Knight. Yes Mr. Knight is older, but is he any wiser? I'm betting we won't see him lying on the floor drunk while chomping on a burger. Imagine the sarcastic comments KITT would make about that!

"Lost" Season 4 Trailer and Series Recap - FREE on iTunes

If you want a refresher on the TV show "Lost" before Season 4 begins tomorrow night, iTunes is offering two free videos for you to download. Both are available at the iTunes store; scroll down to the section of the front page that say "free on iTunes" or something to that effect.

The first free "Lost" video is a Season 4 preview, the second is called "Lost in 8:15," which tries to sum up the entire series thus far. The second video sounds much less useful... anyone who's followed "Lost" knows that it's hard enough to summarize half a season of "Lost" in a one-hour show, much less three entire seasons in under 10 minutes. The creators realize this and have made the video a somewhat humorous recap narrated by a fast-talking woman who could easily do those car commercial voiceovers that explain 500 words of legalese in 22 seconds. ("Sun is pregnant. But Jin is sterile. What's up with that?")

But, if you've decided to get on board the "Lost" bandwagon and don't want to be totally, well, lost, this will help a bit.

You can also watch some of this same material on ABC's "Lost" Web site, which also features a "Locke music video." Now that sounds like fun...

The "Lost" season premiere kicks off with a special two-hour episode on January 31st, beginning at 8 p.m. Eastern time.

Comedian Lisa Landry - Video Clips, Official Web Site, MySpace Page

Comedian Lisa Landry (official Web site) is a Cajun from Louisiana, but now she lives in New York City. She was originally Catholic, but converted to Judaism. As you can imagine, all this gives her plenty of material to turn into stories and jokes: she has not one but two religions to make fun of, and she can riff on the South as well as NYC.

Landry was the star of her own comedy special in 2007, imaginatively titled, "Comedy Central Presents Lisa Landry." She's made guest appearances on various TV shows, and has also done voiceovers for commercials. She's currently performing a number of gigs at New York's Gotham Comedy Club, Comedy Cellar, and other clubs, and then is hitting the road to do shows in Dayton, Ohio and Austin, Texas.

You can also check out Lisa Landry's MySpace page here, and view video clips of her at her page at Comedy Central.

Nicholas Braun: Chasing Time in "Minutemen"

Call it revenge of the nerds: in the Disney original movie "Minutemen" three high school nerds, including the hugely popular Nicholas Braun, create a time machine to go back and fiddle with past events to tone down their geek quotient and become more cool at school.

But these time travelers aren't changing history like Bill and Ted; apparently they can only go back in time two days at the most, and can only stay in the past for 10 minutes.

One of the classmates of the Nicholas Braun character and his buddies is 19-year-old actor Steven R. McQueen, who plays a football player. If that name sounds familiar, it should: he is the grandson of legendary actor Steve McQueen. (Along with Nicholas Braun, the other creators of the time machine are Luke Benward and Jason Dolley.)

Nicholas Braun is a busy man (yes, at 19 years old, he's no longer a kid): you may know him from 2001's "Walter and Henry" or from "Sky High" (2005), or from his guest stints on "Law & Order: SVU," "Without a Trace," and "Shark." You can find his complete filmography on his page at IMDB.

Nicholas Braun's official Web site also notes that he's doing two short films and has signed with an agent to do commercials.

Cora Skinner MySpace Page - Dozens of Photos

Brody Jenner is one lucky guy. The star of The Hills has a new girlfriend, and it's the sexy brunette model Cora Skinner. Jenner has said that his family has met Cora and his parents approve. Well, that's good to know, right? Yeah, sure.

As you can imagine, people are dying to see photos of Cora Skinner, but her Web site seems to be under construction and has just one page, with a photo of her on it. Fortunately, you can head to Cora Skinner's MySpace page, which has dozens of photos, conveniently arranged into different albums. So if you happen to like how a particular photographer captures the beauty of Cora Skinner, you can head straight for those pictures.
